Science creates value for Art
ASA Art Spectal Analysis is the trademark of the generic multispectral digitization program.
ASA (Art Spectral Analysis)
ASA is the multispectral digitization label that recognizes the new analytical function of reading and sorting data. The multispectral scanning process remains unchanged. Multispectral scanning is performed with a light source that moves simultaneously with the camera sensor. The beam of light sweeps the painting while weakly illuminating it without causing too strong an exposure to light (equivalent to about a half-a-day exposure to natural light).
The camera’s very high definition sensor captures the data processed through a 13-band filter. The image generated is then reconstructed by software that delivers the restitution of the pictorial layer in multiple spectral strata in the visible and invisible spectra at a very high definition level of 240 Million Pixels.
Each stratum corresponds to a wavelength. RGB (Red Green Blue) for the visible makes it possible to record colors at a very high level of fidelity. Infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths reveal information hidden from the human eye.
Thus far only a trained eye could take advantage of multispectral data, limiting the conclusions revealed by this cutting edge technology and leaving ample room for interpretation. Today ASA operates an exclusive algorithm, Master’s Hand, capable of reading, organizing, and sorting the data collected in the materiality of the pictorial layer.

Dijon

TWP operates in Dijon, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, where multispectral digitalization activities and research are combined with a collaborative partnership with the University of Burgundy.
This former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy is a modern cultural center* of international dimension. Its strong presence on the artistic, museal, editorial, gastronomic and scientific scenes, offers a very favorable base of expertise and context for our activities.
The city’s geographical location allows for rapid communication with European collectors and museums. Dijon and its region enable us to welcome our customers, partners and collaborators in optimal conditions of comfort and pleasure.
